I wanted to ask you about something. It's regarding a message I saw about celebrating birthdays. Do shinki usually not celebrate their own birthdays here, because we don't remember them?

[yousaytron]

Typically, yeah. I've seen a few shinki on the network asking for other opinions on it in the past, and it seems like a lot of us will just pick some day that we'd like to set aside to celebrate anyway.

Which, if you wanted to celebrate something you didn't remember the day of, seems like as good of a way to do it as any.

[ He's almost completely certain it's Keith who's stung him, considering... Lance is here. Lance, his old god, who's now a shinki. It's kind of a mess.... ]

[Keith doesn't quite get what may have prompted this message - maybe Shiro figured out that the Lance who just turned up is the same Lance who was here before, and he gets the inkling that may be the case, but as far as Keith knows, he's been keeping his feelings in check enough for it to not cause problems.

He's wrong, but. You know.]

I felt a sting a little while ago, and I wanted to make sure my shinki were alright.
Did anything happen?

[yousaytron]

[Ah... after Shiro's text, he can guess where this one is coming from.]

Did Shiro message you too?

Yes, he did. It wasn't me, and Roxas said it wasn't him, either.

It was me, I already apologized to him.

On a related note, I mentioned Lance to you before, right? He's around again, but if you run into him, it's probably best if you don't bring up anything I might have said.

[ Well, that happened! Shiro wakes with a new arm, a new hair color, and a ton of new memories. At least he knows everything Pidge told him--he'd seen it himself. Every part of it. He knows about the clone--he has his memories, too--and Keith's death makes sense now.

He wishes it didn't.

One thing is for certain, though: He's so incredibly proud of Keith, and he can't even tell him. Ugh.

Regardless, he goes to Keith's room, and knocks on the door. ]

[yousaytron]

[Keith knows what this is all about. It happened with Yona a while back, and she had been out for a very, very long time before waking up. He remembered doing what he could to keep Yoon distracted during her nap, and when she awoke once more, she had months of new memories, her hair had grown out... he suspects something similar happened to him after Futaba disappeared as well, contributing that to a few missing days as well as a couple of physical changes, though the only witness to it would have been Red. When it happens to Shiro, he knows there's not really anything that can be done about it, just wait it out, make sure he's safe...

It doesn't stop him from being antsy about it the whole time. The other temple residents surely found him fussing over making sure Shiro was doing all right during his nap more than a couple of times, and while he made sure that the temple was running smoothly in his absence, his own worries definitely kept him from taking entirely good care of himself. As it is, Shiro catches him in a moment where he's unsuccessfully trying to get himself to catch some extra sleep. The knock jostles him out of his 'rest' with a start, but with what's going on, he can only assume that someone coming to his door is urgent. He opens the door with haste, and-]

[He looks different, but at least not wildly so. The white hair and arm are both quite the shock, but more than anything, it's a relief to see him up and about again.]

[galrarm]

Keith.

[ He knows Keith, and Keith's the one he'd worried about when he'd woken up. He knows Keith is a good leader; he'd seen it himself, in that whirlwind of memories. Shiro's known from the beginning that Keith could be a capable leader, because Keith is the exact sort of caring, attentive person a team needs. ]

I'm sorry I was out for so long.

[yousaytron]

[For a moment, Keith can't really bring himself to do much more than let out a sigh of relief. Like all the tension he'd been building up over the past couple of days suddenly slips away leaving him feeling the brunt of his concern all at once.]

It's good to have you back.

[That's a good place to start.

Keith eyes the obvious changes in Shiro's appearance before searching him for other signs of distress or injury. Anything that might need to be addressed now that he's awake...] What happened to you? Are you okay?

[ sometime during the evening on january 22, keith will hear someone knocking on his door. should he answer, keith will find pyrrha standing outside in the hallway, worry and concern etched all over her features. ]

Keith? Am I bothering you?

he has taken a train to sleepytime junction

[After the Emotional Day that has been January 22nd, Keith is honestly looking forward to getting some good, solid rest. Alas, his attempts are thwarted by the knock at his door, though any irritation he may have held over it is very, very quickly dropped when he sees the look on Pyrrha's face, the way she's holding herself... it all sets off flags that Something is Wrong.]

I have time. [Or, he can make some for her, anyway.] What's wrong?

[incinerators]

It's Shiro! Please, something's wrong with him--I need your help.

[ she looks towards the hallway where shiro just sort of went 'doink' onto the floor while they were heading back to their rooms. ]

[ whenever keith first leaves his room, he'll find a little gift box on the floor in front of his bedroom door. there's a little card that comes with it that reads: ]

[PYRRHA!! PLEASE!

Keith is visibly surprised, genuinely not expecting to have received anything for today, but... really, with Pyrrha, should he have expected her to not offer some kind of token? He’ll have to find some way to return the favor, but first, let’s see what’s inside that box?]

[ it's a box of mochi! pyrrha wasn't sure if keith would take well to something as sweet as chocolate, so he gets something a little different from everyone else! ]

[ Yoon's clearly been crying and this is him in a very brief period of being able to speak. ]

She- She's gone.

[Despite his own turbulent few days beginning to even out, it's hard to not feel a little tense at an incoming call.]

Yoon? She-? [She, who else could he possibly be talking about? His blood runs cold at the realization, but before he can dwell on it for too long,] Where are you right now?
